Sirach 16:9
Print
He showed no mercy on a nation doomed to destruction, on people who were driven off because of their sins.
And he spared not the place where Lot sojourned, but abhorred them for the pride of their word.
He showed no mercy on that nation which he doomed to destruction for its sins,
He did not spare the doomed people, dispossessed because of their sin;
He showed no pity toward the doomed people who were dispossessed because of their sins. [He did all these things to the obstinate nations, and he was not appeased by the multitude of his holy ones.]
He showed no pity on the doomed nation, on those dispossessed because of their sins;
He showed no pity on the doomed nation, on those dispossessed because of their sins;
He showed no pity on the doomed nation, on those dispossessed because of their sins;
He showed no pity on the doomed nation, on those dispossessed because of their sins,
He showed no pity for a nation devoted to destruction, for those destroyed in their sins;
He showed no pity for a nation devoted to destruction, for those destroyed in their sins;
He had not mercy on them, and he lost [or destroying] all the folk enhancing (or exalting) themselves in their sins.
